Okay. Just when I thought that I couldn't fall more in love with Italy...I was introduced to the winding canals of Venice. This city is unlike anything I have ever seen. I am completely amazed with this place. Now that school is over, we are just playing tourist. And I. Am. In. Love. With. Venice.
...all the kiddos in St. Mark's Square. there are a million pigeons in this square. ew. ps-if you haven't already, you have to watch my kicking-a-pigeon video on my instagram. i got a kick out of it. no pun intended...
...navigating through Venice can be the most simply complicated thing ever. you just trust the arrows. even if though some are contradicting...
..."you see those columns behind you?" "what about them?" "that's where they used to string up thieves who felt f.i.n.e." i was beyond ecstatic to see where my favorite movie, the Italian Job, was filmed...
...my super awkward photo with the gondola driver is definitely a winner...
...and duh. we rode took a romantic gondola ride. with no boys. it was grand...
...cheapest, most delicious fresh fruit cups ever...
...and we loooove our gelato...
...Venice is known for their incredible glass-blowing factories. we were able to take a boat out to a little island for a demonstration. and if you can't tell, these people are extremely talented. a man whipped up this horse in a matter of five minutes...
...we had a fun little photo shoot on the dock with my sunhat...
...on our last night in Venice, we were out late, wandering the streets, making a loud-American ruckus, when we happened upon an open art show. we crashed it their party. i bust a gut when i look at this photo of us party-crashers because i promise that not one of us had an ounce of alcohol. we're just insane...
...i have loved getting to know each one of these incredible people through this past month. each of them is unique, with their own story, their own hardships, their own talents and i love every one of them with my whole heart. my italian family is the greatest. i couldn't have asked for a better group...
